My Verticy is your customized Verticy Learning Academy home page. Each student enrolled in Verticy Learning Academy receives a customized My Verticy portal; a personal, online resource center containing tools to enhance and reinforce the student's education. All of the resources are specific to the student's individual placement and course selections as well as supplemental materials provided by the Verticy Learning program.My Verticy

  

What makes My Verticy so useful is that with one login and password, a student finds all of the resources for his or her courses. No longer must a family remember passwords for every publisher's Website. You even have the ability to change your password at any time. We recommend you choose a password that is easy for you to remember and please do not share that password with anyone else.

 

My Verticy at a glance:

  • Access valuable tools for your child through the personalized My Verticy online resource center. All software and online supplemental programs that are included in Verticy Learning enrollment can be accessed from your My Verticy page.

Parents can access the Verticy Learning Academy bulletin boards through the My Verticy portal. These discussion forums can provide parents with helpful suggestions for improving the homeschooling experience. Our Education Counselors participate in many of the forums, and our families provide valuable insights into their successes in these forums. The Bulletin Boards are a great resource for new ideas and insights as you home school.

Calvert i -Library

Calvert i-Library, powered by Calvert School and found in your My Verticy portal, is included with all Verticy Learning Academy enrollments and provides access to Reference Tools and supplemental online activities that are grade-specific and interactive. Calvert i-Library also includes Web site reviews, an interactive astronomy program, and a suite of online reference tools including encyclopedias, atlases, and a dictionary and thesaurus (a $60 value).

    Considered the finest online learning portal, this site gives you full access to several valuable resources-the full content of the 32 volumes of the Encyclopedia Britannica, the Concise Encyclopedia, the Britannica Student Encyclopedia, the World Atlas, and a multi-media library featuring thousands of images, audio and video clips that bring the text to life. The members-only site is free of advertising.
  • Calvert Online Reference Library
    In one convenient location you'll find valuable tools developed by Calvert School over the last 100 years. Shape planners, maps, and other tools used in your lessons can be downloaded here.
  • Astronomy
    Calvert School's interactive astronomy program allows your child to explore the night sky in your area with star charts updated through NASA, visit the international space station, and more.
  • Reviews of Websites
    We've reviewed and rated the top educational websites to help you make smart decisions on where to let your child explore on the Internet. Sorted by subject matter, this resource will maximize your child's time spent online. New reviews are added throughout the year.
  • Interactive Portal
    Regularly updated links selected by our staff will direct your child to exciting, age-appropriate activities that demonstrate how to effectively use the Calvert i-Library.
